Look, I think this was a tragedy. Tensions were high, there was a lot of anger on both sides over what had happened before this. I’m not blaming anyone and saying that this was an example of cold-blooded killing (although the evidence suggests some of that probably did occur).

I just don’t understand why so many Medals of Honor were awarded for this. That’s the real hypocrisy.
